Calgary, Alberta \u2013 August 06, 2026 \u2013 Alberta Vet Labs Ltd. (AVL Solvet) welcomes the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for Ivermectin Liquid for Horses for the short-term prevention of New World Screwworm (NWS) infestations in horses. AVL Solvet is the sponsor of the authorized product, marking an important milestone in the company’s commitment to delivering innovative veterinary health solutions that respond to emerging industry needs.<\/p>\n

The July 15, 2026, authorization comes as veterinarians and animal health officials work to address the growing threat posed by New World screwworm, providing an additional preventive tool to help protect equine health under the conditions outlined in the FDA’s Emergency Use Authorization.<\/p>\n
